What is a Trusted Contact, and how is one assigned?

A Trusted Contact is a person that retail clients authorize Jiko to contact in limited circumstances.

A Trusted Contact is a person that retail clients authorize Jiko to contact in limited circumstances. Jiko may disclose information about a retail client account to this person:

  • to address possible financial exploitation

  • to confirm the specifics of current contact information

  • to confirm the identity of any legal guardian, executor, trustee, or holder of a power of attorney

‍Please note that a Trusted Contact must be 18 years or older and is not a beneficiary. A Trusted Contact will not have access to the account and will not have the ability to make any transactions.‍

To edit or assign a Trusted Contact, visit the Profile tab in the Jiko app and select "Account information." There, you can fill in the contact information for your preferred trusted person.
